About

# Hi, I'm Florian.

I started as a web developer and turned that into WordPress businesses (AAWP, MH Themes, ClickWhale and fdmedia.dev) and sold a few along the way. Most people online know me as flowdee. Building products is still what I love most: finding a real problem, shipping the fix and making it a little better every week.

## The road so far

From freelance developer to product founder, seller and investor.

1.  1984 Personal
    
    ### Born in southern Germany
    
    Long before WordPress existed. Computers came a little later.
    
2.  2015 Business
    
    ### Launched AAWP
    
    [AAWP](https://getaawp.com/?utm_source=flowdee.dev&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=about) started as a plugin for my own affiliate sites and turned into my main business.
    
3.  2016 Business
    
    ### Became self-employed
    
    Started my own business as a web developer, building websites and plugins for clients next to my own products.
    
4.  2017 Business
    
    ### Launched KryptoniteWP
    
    A home for the smaller plugins I built for my own shops.
    
5.  2019 Business
    
    ### Took over MH Themes
    
    [MH Themes](https://mhthemes.com/?utm_source=flowdee.dev&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=about) and its magazine themes for WordPress became part of the family.
    
6.  2022 Business
    
    ### Launched ClickWhale
    
    [ClickWhale](https://clickwhale.pro/?utm_source=flowdee.dev&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=about) brings self-hosted link management to WordPress.

    ### Sold Affiliate Coupons
    
    My first exit, and a lesson in letting go.
